Cathy Dodge, CNC, CH, DirectorCathy Dodge has been using herbs for the past 35 years. Herbalism first became familiar to her through her grandmother who collected local flora to use in cooking. Being allergic to over the counter cold medicines, she was prone to chronic bronchitis until she discovered an herbal cure that is fail-proof to this day.
She has mentored with local herbalists, and nutritionists, studied textbooks, become familiar with local vegetation and its uses, and educated herself on the process needed to use and grow them in our Vermont environment. She has also completed 2 internships with Rosemary Gladstar and Mariah McCain and is pursuing her Master Herbalist status. Cathy is a member of the American Herbalists Guild, The New England Herbal Academy, and The American Association of Nutritional Councilors. She has also mentored with a natural supplement formulator. She promotes understanding from a Judeo-Christian perspective, presenting a platform for each person to begin without becoming overwhelmed or confused. It is her intent to challenge the layperson about how they might obtain the resources to live a long and quality life. Cathy and her husband, Tom, live in Vermont and spend their personal time hiking, camping, and skiing in the mountains and hills of New England. |
